Haya

Haya, a second among five siblings, was born in 1985 in AlKhobar, KSA, to a Qatari entrepreneurial athletic musician and a Saudi Arabic teacher. I grew up realizing that talking is not a goal, but rather a tool and lived enough to witness the return; people truly listen.

Finding joy in learning has helped tremendously, especially academically as I majored in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology focusing on Neuroscience. As nerdy as it might sound, I fulfill my passion to learn even through playing and chatting with kids in pre-school age (1-6 year olds), which is something I find extremely delightful. There’s a lot I learned from interacting with little monsters and I anticipate that one day a 2-way educational system will be in place for innocence and knowledge spillover.

Writing used to be my strength until I reached the age of 18 and started learning English as a Second Language. Mistakenly, I thought if I stop writing in Arabic, learning English will be easier. I ended up with a mediocre level in both languages and working on improvements, please bare with me.

Through Kilmtcom, I’ll be writing about matters that I find puzzling from my naive perspective to get them off my mind and bounce ideas off the readers. Your ideas, thoughts and feedback are always welcomed. After all, it’s Kilmtcom!
